Their recent colleague survey, carried out on an annual basis, reaffirmed that their strategy is working; an astounding 92% of colleagues felt satisfied about working for the company, and are clear about their role within the organisation. CarShop put this down to many factors, one of which is providing colleagues with clear development paths. Their recently updated Development Journey offers colleagues access to training and development, so that they can gain new skills, providing the confidence to progress in their role and further beyond.

By taking a transparent approach to the goals of the business, CarShop look to harness colleagues’ ideas to further improve the business; 94% of colleagues have reported that they are clear about how their work contributes to the success of the business.

Neville Rowles, CarShop’s Head of People, commented: “these results are an absolute testament to our business and the Management Team. Not only have we had an outstanding response rate, we’ve also has the highest satisfaction rating ever. Since the last survey we’ve acted on previous results and put action plans into place to further increase employee engagement.
