CarShop became the third dealer to aid Car Dealer Magazine’s charity ‘trade-up’ effort for Great Ormond Street earlier.

As part of Car Dealer Magazine’s 100 th issue celebration, the publication has committed to doing 100 hours of trading-up in order to raise money for Great Ormond Street. The ultimate goal is to trade-up to a high-end marque which can then be sold, with all the money being donated directly to the children’s hospital.

Car Dealer Magazine’s CEO, James Baggott, embarked on this mammoth journey in Belfast, in which he picked up a 54 plate Lexus LS430.  After crossing the Irish Sea, James managed to trade the Lexus for a 10 plate Vauxhall Astra in Preston; before swinging by CarShop Northampton.

Upon arrival James was visibly pleased with the fact that CarShop was going to trade-up his Astra for a 13 plate Peugeot 208. And in speaking to CarShop’s Marketing Director and CarShop Northampton’s Operations Manager, Leo Nelson and Chris Delaney, it became abundantly clear that James is extremely passionate about the incredible work Great Ormond Street does. In referring to his goal of trying to change-up to a high-end marque, he made no secret of the fact that he is reaching out to as many dealers as possible, to encourage them to “get that warm fuzzy feeling inside”.

CarShop’s Marketing Director, Leo Nelson, was more than happy to assist James in his quest and worked with CarShop Northampton to source a great car for James to continue in on his travels.

The entire team at CarShop is behind James and Car Dealer Magazine, and wish them the best of luck.
