Sunny weekend in Silverstone with bright results for Laser Tools Racing

A warm weekend in Silverstone resulted in each of the team taking home some silverware and seven of the available trophies being won by Laser Tools Racing, sponsored by CarShop.

After a strong qualifying session, as with Croft, Aiden Moffat shot up to third on the grid meaning he had a fantastic starting position for race one in Northamptonshire.

Preservation was the order of the day for Laser Tools Racing during race one and the team finished in fantastic positions with Aiden in 4^th, Ash Moffat in 7^thand Carl Boardley in 15^th.

All three teammates looked very happy with their finish and hoping to claim more points towards their trophies in the following races.

In the second race, the team were in a fighting mood and got off to a great start with all three drivers in a comfortable holding position.

However, two safety cars upset the plans for tyre wear and Colin Turkington was able to take 4^th place meaning Aiden finished in 5^th and Ash in 6^th.

Unfortunately, Carl was denied a good race when he was hit on the first corner of the 14^thlap and lost a few laps whilst he was in the pits, before getting back on track.

In the third and final race, Ash started in 8^th, Aiden in 7^thand Carl in 23^rd. Aiden drove an outstanding race to finish 7^thand Carl improved to finish in 18^th, but Ash was the real star.

Throughout the race he systematically picked off those above him including Aiden, to finish on the podium in a brilliant 3^rd.

The team have left Silverstone with a collection of new silverware including Ashley’s trophy for the third race podium finish, and have left Northamptonshire with enhanced title prospects in all competitions.

We are very excited to see what comes next for the team with the penultimate weekend of the BTCC at Donington Park taking place on the 9^thOctober and everything still very much up for grabs.
